Blood pressure is the force at which the heart uses to pump blood to the various body parts. Normal adult blood pressure is defined as a systolic blood pressure of 120 mm Hg, and diastolic blood pressure of 80 mm Hg. The systolic pressure value indicates the pressure in the arteries when the heart beats. The diastolic pressure value, on the other hand, denotes the pressure in the arteries between the heart beats.
