Villagers said they have not gained anything from Nalco’s alumina refinery, which came up in 80’s in Koraput district. In July 2019, the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) hauled up Nalco for exceeding its limit on the daily discharge of red mud and red mud pond effluent.
